It's expected that when you sign up for a Polar Plunge it's going to be cold. And it shouldn't be a surprise when the forecast calls for snow, I mean it's February in Wisconsin. Neither of those things kept more than 250 plungers away at this Years Freezin' For a Reason--the 2018 Polar Plunge benefiting Special Olympics of Wisconsin out at Anchor Bay Bar And Grill.

Temps were in the upper teens,(that's good plunging right there) and snow that began in the morning only seemed to intensify at we got closer to the kick off of the plunge at noon.

If anything the heavy snow just added to the atmosphere, that was made up of young and old, sober and not so much, all winning to jump in a hole cut out in the Wisconsin River, if it meant they're good dead would raise money for the Special Olympics, and boy did it ever. This years totals that are still trickling in have plungers raising more than $86,000 and in donations.
